Blink 182's first commercial release was "Cheshire Cat" through Cargo Music. Cheshire Cat was recorded over 3 days during 1994 in San Diego, California. It featured several songs from their previous cassette release "Buddha" and spawned 2 singles with "Wasting Time" and "M+M's". Cheshire Cat received awesome sales for what it was allowing Blink 182 to enjoy small success. Later in the year of it's release Blink were threatened with a lawsuit from an Irish band who also used the name Blink, and so, were forced to add the 182 to the end of their name.
